Hizb seeks apology from a news channel for telecasting a vide tape of Jan.23 Pulwama land mine explosion incident

Srinagar, January 24/KNS: Hizb-ul-Mujahideen has disowned a video tape telecasted by a News Channel about Tuesday’s land mine explosion incident at Awantipora and also sought an apology from the News Channel on this count.
Talking to KNS over phone, Hizb spokesman Junaid-ul-Islam said that media department of the outfit takes care of the publicity of operations undertaken in different parts of the state.
Terming the telecast of a video tape about the Awantipora land mine incident an example of the worst form of journalistic dishonesty, the spokesman said the activity has been undertaken merely for gaining cheap publicity and Hizb feels sorry for this act.
Claiming that Hib has the distinction of manning different departments of the outfits in a systematic manner, the spokesman sought an apology from the New Channel on this count. He also said that outfits reserves to rights to contemplate legal action, if the News channel fails to apologize.
