| College teachers' deputation calls on Hr Edu Minister | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 4: A delegation of J&K College Teachers Association (Jammu Wing) called on Minister for Higher Education, Abdul Gani Mallik, Chief Secretary, Madhav Lal and Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education Tanveer Jehan. The Association impressed upon the Chief Secretary to consider the reasonable demands of teaching community of the State, to enhance the retirement age as per UGC guidelines and also to bridge the disparity in superannuation age of College & University Teachers in the State, as both are governed by the same UGC guidelines.
Among other issues that were discussed with the Minister for Higher Education & Commissioner/Secretary Higher Education were speedy disposal of pending placement cases, deputation of College Teachers for one Semester Ph D course work and framing of Career Advancement Rules.
President CTA, Dr Avinash Kumar Gupta was accompanied by Dr Satesh Bhan, General Secretary and Prof R S Jamwal and Prof Anjali Mahajan, Vice Presidents CTA. |
