| Permanent Lok-Adalat settled 155 cases and awarded Rs 2166000/- compensation and realized fine more than Rs 55000/- | | | Jammu, Jan 25
Today Permanent Lok-Adalat was held in the District Court Complex Janipur Jammu under the chairmanship of Mr. JR Kotwal Principal District and sessions Judge Jammu. Today the four benches were constituted and taken-up cases and settled 155 cases in which Rs 21, 66000/- awarded as compensation and realized Fine Rs 55350/-.
Bench No 1 comprising Mr. JR Kotwal Chairman, District legal Service Authority/ Principal District and sessions Judge Jammu and Mr. AK Koul Second Additional District Judge Jammu. This bench taken up two cases of Matrimonial and 57 MACT out of which 17 cases of MACT were settled and Rs 21, 66, 000/- awarded as compensation. Bench No 2 comprising CJM Jammu Mr. Sanjay Dhar and Sandeep Kour 3rd Additional Munsiff, this bench taken up 303 cases and settled only 61 cases and realized Rs 15750 as fine. Bench No 3 comprising Mr. Inder Singh Special Excise Mobile Magistrate Jammu, Mr. M R Chak Forest Magistrate and Mr. Balbir Lal 4th Additional Munsiff Jammu to deal with criminal cases, this bench taken up 123 cases and settled 48 cases whereas this bench realized fine Rs 24000/-. Bench No 4 comprising Mr. Sanjay Parihar Special Municipal Mobile Magistrate Jammu and Mr. Kamlesh Pandita Munsiff Jammu, this bench taken up passenger tax case 151 and settled only 29 cases and realized Rs 15600/- as fine. |
