| 2610th birth day of Lord Mahavir Ji celebrated | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU APR 5: 2610th Birthday of Bhagwan Mahavir Ji the thirty sixth thiranthkar of Jainism was celebrated with traditional religious fervor and gaiety. A colourful programme was organized by SS Jain Sabha, Jammu to mark the auspicious occasion.
Revered Jain religion personalities Vichokshan Muni Ji Maharaj and Sonika Ji Maharaj Jammu delivered religious sermons on the occasion and highlighted the teachings of the Maharaj Mahavir Ji.
Raman Bhala Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation attend the function as chief guest, Ashok Khajuria MLA, Jammu (East) presided over the function and Pt Mangat Ram Sharma, Ex Deputy Chief Minister attended the Guest of Honour. The special invitees offered their prayers to lord Mahavir Ji and sought his blessings.
Earlier Virender Jain, President SS Jain Sabha Jammu presented the welcome address to dignitaries which was followed by a cultural programme by students of Mahavir Jain Higher Secondary School, Vardhman Bal Vatika, Members of Jain Taruni MandaI Shraman Snaksirit Manch.
Jain Yuvak Sangh honoured the meritorious students of Jain community on this occasion who have excelled in various activities like academic, sports, extra curricular activities etc. Parmod Jain IAS, Giat Nandan Jain, Virender Jain, Sanjay Jain, and others were also present on the occasion. |
