PHE employees hunger strike enters 4th day | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 5: The chain hunger strike of the employees of PHE Mechanical Division South under the banner of PHE Workers Welfare Association, today entered fourth day. While speaking on the occasion, former MP Janak Raj Gupta assured that his party stands with agitating employees and every possible measure would be taken to reslove all the geniune demands of the employees. Addressing the gathering, PHE president Bakshi Singh demanded, release of wages at the rate of Rs. 125 per day in favour of all PHE workers, wages be released before 5th of every month, regularisation of both ITI and non ITI workers in five years, transfer of 4th class employees after two years in their previous respective sub division. Singh said that the employees have been agitating for the last 3 months but the state government and concerned department has not responded postively. He added that the criminal silence of the government is forcing the employees for taking drastic step like "Kam Chhor Hartal" which is the only way to force the government. Those who were present on the occasion included senior leader Subash Verma, Rattan Doshi, Chuni Lal, Romesh Singh, Moham mad Shafi, Sham Lal, Kamal Kishore, Kuldeep Singh, Ram Prakesh, Feteh Ali and Des Raj. |
