| ISM doctors calls on Mangat and Bandh | | | Jammu, Jan 25
A deputation of ISM doctors called on Minister for Health and Medical Education Mr. Mangat Ram Sharma and Minister of State for Roads and Buildings Mr. Mohammad Khalil Bandh, here today.
The deputationists apprised the Ministers about the fate of their services besides adequate health care facilities to the people of the state especially those living in far-flung areas of district Doda. The y also put forth the demand far confirmation of their services after a period of three years.
Deputationists also apprised the Ministers that most of the contractual doctors (ISM) have either crossed the upper age limit of 37 years or are at the verge crossing it, which they said would restrict them to apply to recruitment agencies. They also demanded for increase of their salary.
The Ministers gave patient hearing to the deputationists and assured that their genuine demands would be taken up at appropriate level for redressal.
