| IAF's 130 helicopter unit pays homage to its personnel | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 6 Popularly known as 'Condors', the 130 helicopter unit of Indian Air Force today paid homage to its valiant personnel who sacrificed their lives for the country, on the occasion of its Raising Day. The 130 helicopter unit christened as 'Condors' is a premier helicopter unit of the IAF. The unit was formed on April 6, 1988 at air force station Jammu. On the occasion of its 24th raising day, a ceremony was organised at the IAF Station Memorial here during which higher IAF officials and all warriors of the unit paid homage to the valiant men of the unit. The unit has rendered yeomen service to the people of Jammu and Kashmir by providing succour and relief whenever called upon to do so especially during natural calamities like snow, avalanches and earthquakes. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah had recently commended the helicopter unit for its relief and rescue operations in the state
