| Freed Kashmiri faces a new day | | Tariq Dar spews fire against Dhaka | | BL KAK NEW DELHI, JAN. 25 Absolved of all charges of being involved in terrorist activities, Tariq Ahmed Dar from Kashmir is getting himself ready for a fight with Bangladesh government. And his fight, it is clear, will not spare even those in Delhi who threw him behind bars. Tariq Dar, now a free man, was behind bars, for no fault of his, for almost three months. He is a rare case amongst the innocent who manage to prove they are no guilty and come home to their families. Soon after his release, Tariq Dar disclosed his future line of action: "I want to go against the Bangladesh government. They deported me for nothing, ruined my career". Nor is at all. Tariq said: "I also want to take action against the people here (in Delhi) where nobody listened to me. I definitely want to do something about it". And his father, Ghulam Ahmed Dar, was quoted as saying: "This is a victory and will help free other innocent victims. Now courts will take notice". It has been long wait for his family and friends. Throughout this ordeal, Tariq believes it was the continuous support of his family that made him brave the odds and hold on with patience. As congratulations pour into the Dar residence, Tariq gets ready to face a new day. He says: "I am still trying to convince myself this is reality. Hopefully it is going to be a bright sunny day tomorrow after a really long night". While the young model--previously working in Bangladesh-- is keen to get his career back on track, the first thing he wants to do is to meet his mother, Ameena, who has been praying for his release in Kashmir. After an agonising wait it has been a happy homecoming for Tariq Dar. But the question here is how many families stuck in similar situations across the country actually meet with such happy endings? |
