PSA stages protest against pop singer ‘Honey Singh’s show | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU APR 6: Progressive Student’s Association (PSA) today organized a protest meeting against Honey Singh’s forthcoming show terming his albums as anti-woman music. The protests was staged as a part of their week long programme against the said ahead of pop singer’s show in Jammu. During the campaign activists of the Progressive Students Association (PSA) distributed a pamphlet explaining their reasons for opposing Honey Singh’s music in particular and other singers like him. “These so called rap singers use vulgar / foul language, they said further adding that the writers and singers to gain easy popularity focus on vulgar terms and didn’t shy away to mention physical attributes of a woman- her shape, size and skin colour. Sibban from the J&K Thinkers Forum, Sonu the president of SSS (Saksham Samaj Sankalp) also spoke on the occasion. Several members of PSA- Dheeraj (State President PSA), Rohit Bharti (University, PSA), Deepak (RS Pura College, PSA), Vanessa Chishti, besides this members of Jan Jagriti Manch namely Pooja, Makhni, Neelu and Madhu also spoke on the occasion. PSA and others activists announced that it would intensify its ongoing campaign against this sort of culture.
