| Members thanked for raising issue of ‘allowance in 488 CrPC’ | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU APR 6: All J&K Movement for Peace & Justice (AJKMPJ) has thanked Naresh Kumar Gupta MLC and others for tabling a bill in the Legislative Council (Upper House) pertaining to enhancement of monthly maintenance allowance in case of Cr Pc section 488.
Kuldeep Kumar Rao an active member of said organization stated that members approached almost all MLA’s & MLC’s & also appealed them through print media but MLC Naresh Gupta was kind enough to give sympathetic consideration to this genuine grievance of public and laboured hard to prepare the draft of the bill & presented it in a forceful way in the council.
Rao also thanked Ali Mohd Sager, the Law Minister for giving genuine consideration to the bill of put forth by member of the House and brought the bill in the house on April 4 and got the limit abolished and now the maintenance is to be granted as per the facts and circumstances of the case as is being practiced in the centre and many other states of the country
