Alleged scam in SMGS hospital CB writes GMC Principal for internal inquiry | | | Sumit Sharma Jammu, Apr 6: Acting on the complaint against Deputy Medical Superintendent SMGS hospital Dr Dara Singh for his alleged hand in corruption in the guise of commission from the canteen tendering, bungling in diet for patients and alleged appointment of staff, the Crime Branch Jammu has written a letter to the Principal GMC Hospital and Associated Hospitals to hold an inquiry. Meanwhile Principal when contacted said that he has not received any communication till now. Well informed sources said that following a complaint in this regard the Crime Branch has communicated to the Principal GMC and Associated Hospitals Dr Rajinder Singh to hold a internal departmental inquiry and find facts so that if need arises the same should be handed over to the Crime Branch for further probing. According to sources a letter was forwarded to the GMC authority by Crime Branch following anonymous complaint was received by Crime Branch. A Crime Branch senior officer on anonymity shared the information. Meanwhile sources in department also mentioned that concerned minister taking cognizance of reports published in Early Times on the other day wrote to SP City to hold inquiry and the same was entrusted to the SHO City Basanti Bhat who during investigation found the complaint as frivolous as the complainant whose address too remained untraced. However sources in hospital said that Principal GMC too asked Medical Superintendent to hold an inquiry and a registry was dispatched to the address of the complainant as House No 167, Kakkar Colony. Dr Dara Singh was personally summoned by the minister for health education and spots for explanation. In explanation to the minister Dr Dara Singh told conspiracy against him to defame him. |
