Early Times Report
Baramulla, Apr 7 : Thousands of applicants, who have applied for Class IV posts, advertised by Deputy Commissioner (DC) Office Baramulla six years back, are up in arms against recruiting authorities alleging deliberate delay in recruitment process.
Interestingly, DC office Barmaulla issued an advertisement notice bearing number 04/DDC of 2006 dated 18-10-2006 under endorsement number DDCB/2006/Class IV/8522-35 dated 19-10-2006, but after six years now in which only interview candidates were conducted but selection list is yet to be released .
A group of aspirants told that Deputy Commissioner Baramulla's office advertised Class IV posts in 2006, it has been six years now, the authorities have been only issuing interview notices owing to which hundreds of applicants crossed age bar. And there is no reply to repeated pleas to the concerned office."We fail to understand why authorities are delaying the recruitment process. It has been six years now after the interviews after of the middle; higher secondary pass applicants were conducted but the selection is withheld for reasons better kwon to concern officers at DC office.
Now they say that GAD department is not approving the recruitment, one wonder how long it would take as most of the candidates have crossed the age bar," said an aspirant Mushtaq Ahmed Ganai of Baramulla.
Another candidate Shabir Ahmed Lone said, "During elections, every politician promised jobs and every party muster votes with the slogan, if voted to power, jobs to unemployed youth in state would be top priority but this kind of recruitment process shows how sincere they are." Pertinent to mention here, DC office has issued interview notices in 2007, 2008, and 2009 in which candidates were called for interviews but nothing happened then after. It remains to see, when the selection list of the candidates get released.
