| 3 killed as tanker plunges into gorge | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Apr 7 : In a major road accident today 3 persons got killed while three including two small childrens sustained injuries when a truck tanker they were travelling plunged into a deep gorge In Drati area of Mendhar.
As per reports a tanker bearing registration number JKO2AE - 6697 was on its way in Drati main road when suddenly driver lost control over the vehicle and it plunged into a deep gorge. As soon as the news of this road accident spread in the area locals rushed to the spot while police team also reached there and after rescue operation of quite some time all the passengers of this vehicle were brought out of the gorge. Out of 6 passengers of this vehicle three got killed while remaining three including two children sustained critical injuries and are hospit alised. Those who got killed in the accident were identified as Kabir Ahmed, Naim kouser and Driver of the vehicle Mohd. Munir. On the other hand those who sustained injuries in the accident are identified as Alisa kouser aged 4 years, Abid Khan aged 3 years and Conductor of vehicle Iftikhar Ahmed. These three injured were referred to District hospital Rajouri for treatment. |
