Parents' association rues delay in granting clearance to school | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 7 : It is indeed unfortunate that the parents are made to run from pillar to post for seeking continuation of studies of their wards. This was alleged by Republic Academy Students Parents Association, New Plot, Jammu, while criticising the education department for creating obstacles in granting clearance to the school. Led by Association President Charanjit Ram and Vice-President Anil Sharma, hundreds of parents, who were on protest dharna against the attitude of the Education Department towards this school, stated that over 400 students have been pursuing their studies from nursery, to High Classes of Republic Academy and that after the conduct of anunal examinations, the results are to be declared on April 7, 2012 after which admission to new classes obviously starts. Unfortunately, the Republic Academy School management has been asking the parents to get their wards shifted from here to other educational institutions on the plea that the school has not been issued clearance from Education Department despite the fact that inspection for the same was conducted on time. It was further said that the file related to clearance is lying in civil secretariat and the officials involved in its processing are sitting over it and causing inordinate delay. The parents sitting on dharna outside the School said the government cannot play with the future of the students by not granting the needful clearance and warned that parents of over 400 students will not allow the education department to play with the future of their wards. |
