| Rajiv Gandhi College of Education organises sports meet | | |  Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 7: An Inter Colleges Sports meet was organized by Rajiv Gandhi College of Education at Sports Stadium, Kathua.
In the meet, six colleges of Education teams participated including Ashoka College of Education, Surya College of Education, Guru Gang Dev College of Education, New Age College of Education Lal Bahadur Shastri Memorial College of Education and Rajiv Gandhi College of Education, Kathua.
S K Chalotra Distt Youth and Sports Officer was the chief guest on the occasion while Pankaj Dogra Chairman Surya College of Education was the guest of honour. Speaking on the occasion, Dr G P Sachdev principal Rajiv Gandhi College of Education highlighted the importance of sports in education and day to day life and all round development of mind and body.
S.K Chalotra opened the athletic meet and congratulated the college for organizing impressive sports meet and providing the opportunity to the students to prove their credentials in different field of sports.
Several events of Athletics including 100 metre race (Men and Women), 200 Mtrs. (Men and Women), 400 mtrs relay race, Javelin throw, Disc Throw, High Jump, Long Jump, Triple Jump and Shot put were among the competition. |
