| Focus attention to uplift SC/ST/OBC sections: Bhalla | | | early times report
Jammu, Apr 8: Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla has said that focused attention was being paid by the Government to uplift the socio-economic condition of the schedule caste, schedule tribe and other backward sections of the society in every corner of the State by providing all basic amenities to them in their respective colonies, adding that in this regard various exemplary initiatives have been revolutionized in development scenario in such areas.
This was stated by the Minister while addressing a gathering at Bathindi, here today.
Regarding upgradation of Bathindi main road including entire links, Bhalla said Government has earmarked Rs 1.60 crore for this purpose adding that the blacktopping and other allied works including renovation of surface and deep drains would be started soon after completing the tendering formalities. He said Government has approved Rs 1.6 crore for construction of Doogian-Jagti road, Rs 2.37 crore for Sunjwan-Bermeeni Road, adding that the projects are under progress on war-footing and would be completed within prescribed time frame.
For regularization of land under Roshni Act, the Minister said that instructions have been issued to Revenue Officers to make survey and submit status of the land so that the demand of inhabitants could be redressed at the earliest.
