NRHM employees holds meet, project various demands | | | early times report DODA, Apr 8: National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) employees of Doda District including Doctors and Paramedical staff held a meeting under the Chairmanship of District President Dr Hamid Parray at Doda. During the course of the meeting, President highlighted the various problems being faced by the NRHM employees. They unanimously appealed to the Health Ministry and Concerned Authorities to enhance the salaries of Doctors, Paramedics and other NRHM staff posted in far flung area of Chenab region. While addressing the meeting, Dr. Hamid Parray said that in other states of India, Doctors posted under NRHM are getting Rs 35,000 and in J&K, they are only getting Rs 19,000 while a permanent nurses and sweepers of the same department are getting above Rs 20,000/- per month. He appealed to all NRHM Doctors and Paramedics to work with dedication and honesty so as to serve the people in far flung areas of the area. The NRHM employees of the District criticized the concern department for adopting casual approach towards their problems. General Secretary of the NRHM employees, Dr. Saba Khanam said that in some areas rural incentives are not given properly to those working in far flung areas of the Chenab region. She said that the Govt. should release the rural incentives along with salaries to all staff working in the rural areas including Doctors and Paramedics. |
