| SPCB organises public hearing | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 8: J&K State Pollution Control Board (SPCB), Kishtwar organised a public hearing required for environment clearance for establishment of 850 MW GVK Ratle Hydro Electric Power Project at Drabshalla in district Kishtwar.
The public hearing began with welcome note of Dr Yash Paul (representative of Regional Director SPCB Jammu). He gave detailed aspects of the project and also highlighted the purpose of conducting of public hearing regarding environment clearance.
DC Kishtwar M H Malik presided over the function. He highlighted the employment potential of such project for local people and development of area. He also apprised the public about the benefits arising out of its construction.
Large number of about 900 to 1000 people including NGOs, prominent locals of concerned areas from village Drabshalla, Salana, Joshana, Bhadhat, Bugrana, Khori Drab, Kandni, Bhandera and Lass attended the programme. |
