SSH demands passage of Hindus Temple Act
4/8/2012 11:17:43 PM
early times report
Jammu, Apr 8: The Shiv Sena Hindustan (SSH) has demanded to formulate Akhil Bhara-tiya Hindus Temple Act, which will look after all the temples of the state more.
This was demanded by the SSH National President, Pawan Gupta in a press conference held here today. Addressing the conference he said, it is the need of hour that on the pattern of SGPC and Waqf Board which take decisions about their religious affairs a board for the Hindus religious affairs should be constituted as the decisions taken by the Shri Amarnath Shrine Board had failed to satisfy the Hindus aspirations as the most of the members of the board had no knowledge about the shrine then how they could taken decision to start yatra on their own.
He said that the board constituted under the Governor had no right to interfere in the religious issues of the Hindus. The responsibility of the Board is only to provide facilities for the yatries, Gupta added.
