| Security beefed up in North Kashmir ahead of RD | | | Baramulla, Jan 25 Security has been beefed up in the border district of north Kashmir ahead of Republic Day celebrations tomorrow. Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that for the first time during the last fifteen years of turmoil security forces have placed detective jamamers and Close circuit cameras at various mine prone areas of the district to avert any tragedy. Pedestrians and passengers are continuously being frisked away by the troops deployed at several points along the roads of the district. People alleged that they are being harassed unnecessarily by forces on the name of security measures. “We have earlier also celebrated the day but Kashmiri’s are now treated as sheep’s and goats” a local resident told News adding that let government stamp our foreheads so that they can believe us”. Meanwhile, ahead of Republic day the entire North Kashmir has been converted into a fortress with huge deployment of security forecast. Barricades have been put on every crossing to check the vehicles coming and going o0ut side the area.
