| Pinto Club wins volleyball tourney | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Apr 8: Pinto Club won the Ist Shaheed Mohd Hafis Memorial Volleyball trophy outplaying Khari Karmara Club in straight sets in the final played at Khari Karmara Army ground, near here today.
Including first expanded set of 28-26, Khari Karmara Club fought for every point in all the three sets to claim the title. The score: 28-26, 25-23, 25-19.
In the final and prize distribution function, Commanding Officer of 93 Infantry Brigade was chief guest while Commanding Officer of 21 Bihar Rajput, Col. Bal was guest of honour. Among others present were chairman of the organising committee, Deputy Commissioner, Ajit Kumar Sahu and secretary of District Volleyball Association, Krishan Sharma were among others present.
Nirdosh Kumar Sharma was organising secretary of the tournament. |
