| Taj replies Sakina’s calling attention | | |

On behalf of Chief Minister Mr. Ghulam Nabi Azad, Minister for CAPD Mr. Taj Mohi-ud-Din in reply to calling attention notice tabled by Miss Sakina Ittoo in the Legislative Council here today stated that “ on December 14,2006 a complaint was received at P/S Batmaloo that one Abdul Rehman Padder S/O Gh. Rasool Padder R/O Larnoo, Kokernag was missing from Srinagar w.e.f. December 08, 2006. Upon this, a missing report was registered in the said P/S and investigation taken up.
During the investigation, family members of the said Abdul Rehman Padder revealed that he was in possession of a mobile bearing No.9419901156 IMIE number 357054000784988 before his missing. The matter was also taken up with service provider on further investigation, it was found that the said IMIE No. viz 357054000784988 was being used by a subscriber with SIM No. 9419599929 registered in the name of one Shri Bashir Ahmad Bhat S/O Sonaullah Bhat R/o Wathroo, Kralpora Tangmarg, District Baramulla, who deposed that he has given his SIM card to one of his acquaintance namely Shri Abdul Rashid Wagay S/O Abdul Gani R/o Khatpora, Hajan Sonawari, district Baramulla. The said Abdul Rashid is being questioned.
In view of the nature of the case, a Special Investigation Team under supervision of Shri Uttam Chand IPS, SP City, South Srinagar has been constituted. The SIT is making steadfast efforts to conclude the investigation in the right-earnest to unveil the truth behind missing of the individual. The investigation is being pursued vigorously by Senior Police Officers on day to day basis”.
