| PHE employees relay hunger stir enters into eighth day | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 9: The chain hunger strike of PHE Employees/workers today entered into the 8th consecutive day today. Organized under the banner of PHE Workers Welfare Association in support of the long pending unresolved issues of Employees Workers started the agitation was organized to impress upon concerned authorities to look their demands. Among those who replaced the previous batch included Ram Gopal, Ajay Bali, Raghubir Singh, Kulbushan Singh and Parmodh Singh of PHE Division Kathua. Speakers/Executive Members of the Association while addressing the protestors said if the State Govt as well as concerned authorities of the department did not change their adamant attitude towards the agitating PRE Employees there will be left no option except to go on Kaam-Chhor Hartal which is to be held on 20th of April 2012 through out the Jammu region and for which the State Govt. will be held responsible for the consequences. During the protest the speakers reiterated their demands viz. release of wages of all sorts of daily wagers @ Rs. 125/- per day, the wages to the workers be given before 5thof every month regularly, backlog wages of workers be cleared, regularization of daily rated workers both of ITI and on-ITI in 5 years at the pattern or Rehber-e- Taleem Teacher, the left out categories be incorporated in SRO 59, The prominent leaders who addressed the gathering were Joginder Sharma, Baldev Singh, Pritam Singh, Rattan Doshi, Chuni Lal, Lal Chand, Surinder Kumar and Vijay Singh. |
