Annual sports day held at Presentation Convent

Annual Sports Day was celebrated in the premises of Presentation Convent Senior Secondary School, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
Ch. Lal Singh Member Parliament graced the occasion as the chief guest.
The main highlight of the event was a March-past presented by a graceful and elegant contingent prepared by Satinder Singh and Dalbir Singh. A guard of honour waspresented Ch. Lal Singh inspected the squad.

A major highlight of the event, the March Past was adjudged by Anita pawar the in charge women cell, Usha Kher, the in charge police welfare and by inspector Madhu Bandral.


The graceful and elegant contingent of March Past had been prepared by Satinder Singh and Dalbir Singh, veterans in their trade. Ch. Lal Singh inspected the squad.
The drills formed an important segment of the day especially the Russian Drill, the Chinese Drill , the Olympic Drill and of course , the vibrant Saree Drill conducted under the over all supervision and guidance of sports teachers Ishwar Singh, Satinder Singh , Dalbir Singh and Renu Bala.
The resonant drumbeats of the school Brass Band had the able and efficient
Guidance of Bhadhur and Subhash Dogra behind their reverberations. The perfect aura and charm was lent to the occasion by the school Song and special rendition ‘Lakshye Na Ojhal Hone paye ‘prepared by Neelu Varinder and Satish.
The house captains and the sports captains taking the oath of allegiance to the country and the school was a great spectacle to behold. The event before progressing to its grand finale witnessed Ch. Lal Singh encouraging and exhorting the students to reach out for greater, bigger aims while he appreciated the students efforts. He gave away the medals, certificates, prizes and last but not the least the cock shield for which the students waited with abated breath. The principal of the school, Sr. Phyllis delivered the vote of thanks and expressed her gratitude to the staff and the spectators.
