J-K Cong appeals separatist parties to take part in dialogue | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Apr 9 Appealing Hurriyat Conference "not to spew venom and come forward" for a dialogue to resolve the Kashmir "imbroglio", Jammu and Kashmir Congress today said when Pakistan can talk on the issue why can't separatist. Congress leader Abdul Gani Vakil termed the yesterday's Indo-Pak talks as "new hope" for resolving Kashmir problem. "The talks between Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Pakistan President Asif Ali Zardari have provided another opportunity to resolve all outstanding issues including the vexed Kashmir problem," Vakil, a member of AICC, said while addressing a party workers' convention here. He appealed to Hurriyat Conference "not to spew venom and come forward for a dialogue as the UPA Government is extremely serious about addressing the Kashmir issue." Vakil, a former state minister, said talks are the only way out in present world to resolve conflicts peacefully. "We should stop doubting intent of the Union government. The sooner we do it, better it will be," he added. Vakil said the separatists and other groups, which are shying away from dialogue, should enter into talks. "When India and Pakistan can talk, why not Hurriyat?" he asked. |
