Sham calls for maintaining tempo of providing better healthcare services to patients | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Apr 10: Minister for Health & Family Welfare, Mr. Sham Lal Sharma today said that the Government would bring more reforms to further improve the health delivery system in the state. He urged the employees of all ranks and files to re-double their efforts to maintain the tempo of better delivery of health services to the patients and maintaining the top slot intact. The Minister was reviewing the progress of the department at a meeting held in the Directorate of Health Services, here today. Expressing satisfaction over the achievements of previous fiscal, the Minister said that the credit goes to every individual employee for his contribution and providing improved medicare services to the people. He said people have high expectations from the medical fraternity and they should continue to perform their duties with best of their abilities and as per medical ethics. He stressed the need for maintaining close coordination between different wings to achieve the common goals, he maintained. In order to ensure more transparency and accountability in the functioning of various wings, the Minister issued instructions to the HoDs to get their accounts audited regularly and discrepancies, if any, pointed out by the auditors be plugged accordingly. He emphasized the need for implementing all flagship programs in letter and spirit so that benefits of these schemes percolate down to the needy. |
