| Jail prison staff demands for hardship allowance | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 10: Jammu and Kashmir Prisons Staff posted at different places demanded hardship allowance sanctioned the state government in favor of All Jammu and Kashmir Police Personnel (AJKPP), here today. Justifying their demand members of the association said government has sanctioned hardship allowance in favor of AJKPP vide Government Order No Home-1162 (P) o of 2010 dated September 16 2010, which was immediately implemented and the benefits under same order were given to all the AJKP with effect from October 1, 2010. The further said that the same unfortunately have not been given to Jammu and Kashmir Prisons and Jail Staff. They stated that prisons department are sister concern of Jammu and Kashmir Police and is part and parcel of law and order machinery, performing round the clock duties adding that duties performed by jail staff is highly risky as they have to guard hardcore militants, criminals, anti national elements. |
