| Shiva Nagar residents protests frequent break down of transformer | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 10: Annoyed over frequent breaking down of the transformer installed in their area, the residents of Ward No 16, Shiva Nagar today held a protest demonstration against Power Development Department (PDD) here today.
Protesting people blocked the college road for more than half an hour demanding installation of new transformer in their area.
They alleged that despite repeated requests, the department has failed to tackle the problem. The residents alleged that 400 KV electric transformer gets burnt four times in a week, however, in stead of replacing it the PDD is repeatedly repairing the same. |
