| NYCs hold protest, raise anti Govt. slogans | | | | Poonch ,Apr 10: Raising anti- Government slogans, NYCs of the district Poonch today held a protest demonstration at Nakhan wali Chowk in support of their demands. They blocked the vehicular movement for some time. The protest was held under the president ship of Sikander Nourani. The protestors staged a dharna at Nakhan wali chowk for 1 hr where after they organized a procession which culminated at Krishan Chander Park. Nourani, and NYC Volunteers condemned the recent statement given by R S Chib, where he has said that govt is not having any policy for NYC volunteers. "Since most of the NYC's are highly qualified and have left studies and have worked with the various departments sincerely, now government has to consider our demands sympathically" Sikander said. Giving one week ultimatum to the government, sikander said if govt fails to give statement in favour of NYC's, a chain hunger strike will be organized at all district headquarters. He also demanded enhancement of honorarium and training to the NYC' as directed by centre government. |
