Qasim Din (Billu) lifts 51st Kalka Kesari 2007 title

Pahalwan Qasim Din Alias Billu of JKP Patha Babu Ram Pathania coach lifted “51st Kalka Kesari 2007” title by defeating Pahalwan Benis of Basant Garh Distt, Udhampur in a tough in Udhampur Distt. J&K State, Pahalwan Billy was adjudged as the best wrestler in the 51st Annual Kalka Kesari dangal organized by Swami Nitya Nan wrestling Association Panthal under the aegis of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association. The winner of the first about al malli. By Shiv Kumar Sharma President of J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association and Shri Rama Kant (Biju Shah) oragnising Secretary and Rs. 1000/- was given to Pahalwan Benia (Looser).
Shri Shiv Kumar Sharma Treasurer Indian style wrestling Association of India was the Chief Guest. He gave away the prizes to the winners & runners up. Prof. Shiv Nirmohi (retd) R/o Panthal was the guest of honour. The Vishal Dangal was declared opened by Shiv Kumar Shama who is also member Distt. Udhampur Sports Advisory Board ealier before the start of Ist Bout, Shri. Rama Kant, Shri Nasib Singh and Mukesh Khajuria performed traditional Pooja.
Shiv Kumar President of the State Body speaking on the occasion said that this dangal is regular feature in the Kalka Mandir for last 51 years which was being organized on the eve of Basant Panchami with the active cooperation of Panthal and Kunaya People.
Sharma said 26 bouts was played in the dangal. In the second bout pahalwan Bijli of Hoshiarpur (Pb) beat Mohd. Akram of Jammu. Third bout was won by Ali of Bani Basholi by defeating baz Singh of Akhnoor 4th bout was won by Kuldip singh Ladha by defeating mohd. Akram of Jammu. In other bouts Naresh Kumar beat, Deepak Kumar, Kulbir Singh beat Nasib Singh, Prem Verma beat Mushtaq Ahmed, Laket Ali beat Raju, Bijli beat Swarna, Kulbir singh beat naresh kumar, bout between Manjour v/s Angrez Singh ended in a draw.
