| YAC protests delay in widening of Kathua-Kalibari road | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 10: Youth Against Corruption (YAC) continued their protest demonstration by staging dharna for more than two hours at DC office Kathua against the district administration for delaying the construction of road from Kalibari to Hatli Morh via Kathua. The protest dharna was led by the District convener of YAC, Rahul Dev who criticized the district administration for putting the lives of the Kathua people at risk as ERA, the executing agency for the double laning of road from Kalibari to Hatli Morh road via Kathua has adopted a negligent approach. He added that the construction work of the road was started more than four years ago which has put the entire town into a bundle of hardships that created so many problems like accidents, traffic jams and dust pollution. Meanwhile, to lift the dharna the Tehsildar Kathua from administration side along with SHO Kathua B.S Manhas intervened and assured the protestors that road construction work would be finished up to June 30. |
