VC, assures CTA of clearing pending remuneration bills of college teachers | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 10: Prof. M.P.Singh Isher, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu assured President, J&K College Teachers Association, Dr Avinash Kumar Gupta, in a meeting that all pending remuneration bills of College Teachers would be cleared within a weeks time. The Vice Chancellor gave strict instructions to the concerned officials of the university that all bills pertaining to conduct of theory/practical examinations and evaluation up to 31st March 2012 should be paid to the College Teachers within a week time. It is pertinent to mention that remuneration bills for nearly two years are pending for payment resulting in resentment on part of the College Teachers. Rationalization and revision of remuneration rates was also demanded, as the last revision of the rates was affected in 2004. President CTA also demanded that the reservation for the wards of College Teachers in PG admissions, as is in vogue for university teachers, should be restored from the new academic session. Dr Gupta also assured the Vice Chancellor that the College Teachers would render full cooperation in speedy evaluation work so that the results of the students are declared by the university in time. |
