JAMMU, Apr 11: Law School clinched the table tennis title beating Department of Mathematics 2-1 in the final of the ongoing inter-department sports meet of the University of Jammu at Gymnasium Hall on the campus, here today. In first singles, Waheed Ahmed lost to Abhi-manyu 2-3 (04-11, 11-08, 05-11, 11-08, 07-11) while Abhinav Sharma won the second singles beating Punit in straight easy sets of 11-01, 11-04, 11-05 to level the score 1-1.
However, in deciding doubles, the pair of Abhinav and Waheed Ahmed registered a 3-1 (11-08, 08-11, 11-09, 11-07) win over Abhi-manyu and Punit. BADMINTON: Meanwhile, in badminton, Department of Law and Department of Physical Education have made it to the final scheduled to be played tomorrow at 10.30 am. Earlier, in the semifinals, Law Department beat The Business School 2-0 while Physical Education got walkover Department of English. |
