| J&K Poomsae teams excels in nationals | | | early times report
JAMMU, Apr 11: Took part under the banner of Jammu and Kashmir Taekwondo Association in the 5th National Taekwondo Poomsae Championship on held at Deshbhakta Tarun Ram Phookan Indoor Stadium, Guwahati in Assam, state teams excelled in senior and junior categories. While in senior boys group, J&K secured overall second position, the sub-junior boys and girls teams brought home championship trophies.
In the meantime, out of this championship, the Taekw-ondo Federation of India selected five best players for the Asian Taekwondo Championship to be held at Hochinmin City, Vietnam on May third. From J&K, Atul Pangotra has been selected for the Asian championship. Meanwhile, cha-irman of J&K Taek-wondo Association, Anil Gupta congratulated the team and coaches for their excellent performance in the championship.
He lauded the efforts of Atul Pangotra for making it to the Indian team and assured cash incentives for the medal winners. |
