| Shobha Yatra of Asaram Bapu taken out | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Apr 11: 72nd Avt-aran Diwas of Asaram Bapu was celebrated here today with religious fervour and gaiety. Since early morning the followers of Bapu were witnessed assembling in the Ashram Complex to pay their obeisance and respect to the great saint who has brought revolution in the Adhyatmic Jagat besides his manifold contributions for the upliftment and Welfare of the downtrodden and hapless people devoid of Health, Wealth, food and shelter.
Bhajan, Kirtan and Hawan coupled with Satsang marked the merriment of the occasion. Langer had been arranged by the Samiti which lasted till/evening and its service was extended to the Jhuggi Jhopdi Walas also.
It would be pertinent to mention here that Pujya Bapu Ji celebrate this day in the company of poor and needy people who are destitute of even bread and butter.
With his pious hands he distributes ration, clothing, fruits sweets and cash to the poor needy and destitutes.
On the eve, a Shobha Yatra was also taken out from Bhagwati Nagar Ashram. The Yatra passed through Canal road, Jewel Chowk, Ragh-unath Bazar, City Chowk, Purani Mandi, Jain Bazar, Pacca Danga and Moti Bazar and culminated at Parade Ground. The devotees enro- ute had arranged sweet water and fruit for the devotees accompanying the yatra. |
