JU Prof Ishar assures of fulfillment of CTA demands | CTA calls on VC | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 11: Vice Chancellor University of Jammu, Prof M. P. Singh Ishar today assured that all pending remuneration bills of college teachers would be cleared within a week's time. In a press statement, President J&K College Teacher Association, Dr. Avinash Kumar Gupta has said that a deputation of association called on Vice Chancellor University of Jammu, today and apprised him about various issues confronting them. Dr. Gupta further said that the Vice Chancellor gave strict instructions to the concerned officials of the university that all bills pertaining to conduct of theory/practical examinations and evaluation up to 31st March 2012 should be paid to the college teachers shortly. It is pertinent to mention that remuneration bills for nearly two years are pending for payment resulting in resentment on part of the college teachers. Rationalization and revision of remuneration rates was also demanded, as the last revision of the rates was affected in 2004. President CTA also demanded that the reservation for the wards of college teacher in PG admissions, as is in vogue for university teachers, should be restored from the new academic session. Dr. Avinash Kumar Gupta also assured the Vice Chancellor that the college teachers would render full cooperation in speedy evaluation work so that the results of the students are declared by the University in time. |
