HSS hails reduction in chopper fares for Amarnath yatra

JAMMU, Apr 11: Hailing the decision of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board's (SASB) decision to curtail the fares of helicopter service from Pahalgam and Baltal to cave shrine, the Hindustan Shiv Sena (HSS) demanded completion of registration process at least two months before the commencement of pilgrimage.
In a meeting of HSS held under the chairmanship of its president Dimpy Kohli, the members expressed their views regarding the forth coming Shri Amarnath Yatra.
They said that the pilgrims should be provided with all the facilities and should be thoroughly examined medically. It will minimize the casualties which occur during this yatra.
Kohli further said that the toll tax should be exempted totally for the trucks carrying langer material and on buses carrying yatris.
So for the facilities provided to yatris at base camps of Jammu , Pahalgam or Baltal are inadequate and require lot of improvement. Strict measures should be taken to check the prices being charged exorbitantly by shopkeepers from Yatris, he added.
