Jammu, Apr 11: Nothing could have been more annoying for the Union Home Minister than his SUV slowing down exactly at the spot where media men were waiting for him while coming out of the guest house.
The Home Minister in a bid to keep his nerve rolled down the pane only to receive a volley of questions. He admitted it was not possible for him to respond in a fashion they wanted.
The incident created a stir in the security apparatus with Home Minister's security shouting at the local police men to set things in order. However, after a brief while the Home Minister heaved a sigh of relief when his SUV was escorted and the cavalcade moved on.
The incident has raised many a question. The Home Minister could have made a statement through the information department. Was it a security lapse? Or did the Home Minister invite trouble willingly?
The security men guarding the area had never imagined that the Home Minister would stop his car in a `forbidden area'.
Informed sources said that the security men are busy watching the video footage to ascertain what actually happened. |
