| Anganwadi Workers hold demonstration | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Apr 11: Anganwadi Workers held a demonstration infront of Office of Divisional Comm-issioner, Jammu in support of their demands increased arrear from April, 2011 and pending salary and issue order of promotion for supervisions.
Speakers highlighting their demands said genuine demands under ICDS are being ignored while Social Welfare Deptt has not issued promotion orders properly as per rule seniority requirements. Other demands highlighted on the occasion included TA/DA to attend monthly meetings, teaching allowa-nces as per central Govt. Order Rs 1000/- per year and state level to solve problems of workers at District level, to engage helpers to the post of Anganwadi workers and introduce pension scheme for workers..
The workers from different Districts of Jammu, Samba, Kathua, Udhampur, Reasi, Rajouri and also from number of blocks participated in the agitational programme in large number. The association president Swarna Choudhary, Neelam Sharma General Secretary, Lakseman Ravinder Singh, Senior leader BMS Vijay Chandel President, General Secretary, Harbans Choud-hary General Secretary and Subash Verma General Secretary National Govt. Employees Federation and other workers addressed the workers. |
