| Black Marketing of 'LPG Cylinder' continues in Samba | | | Neeraj Badyal
Samba, Apr 12: People in Samba are facing acute shortage of LPG Gas Cylinder due to the black marketing of gas cylinder as the subsidized domestic gas cylinders are being misused by the traders instead of commercial cylinders.
According to locals facing shortage of the LPG cylinders allege that the traders using LPG cylinders used the commercial cylinders only as 'show piece' but clandestinely used the domestic LPG cylinders.
The sweet shop owners (Halwais), dyers and others vendors fluting norms are using LPG Gas Cylinders openly instead of commercial gas cylinders that are costly as compared to the domestic cylinders.
This mal practice is resulting into the shortage of domestic LPG cylinders in the consumer market.
Apart from this many people having light motor vehicles are using LPG cylinders using special kits who are getting cylinders using their influence but the real users are left high and dry who often stand in long queues for getting a single cylinder.
Meanwhile a nexus between the traders and locals venders has resulted into a acute shortage of the LPG cylinders as only influential people are getting LPG cylinders. Irked over the shortage the locals are demanding the owner gas agencies to streamline the process and urged concerned CA&PD authorities to issue directions in this regard. They also have urged the authorities to take action against agency holders who fail to comply the directions particularly to put check on black-marketing of gas cylinders |
