| Training programme for SDRF trainees concludes | | | JAMMU, Apr 12: The first ever training programme for the trainees of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) concluded here today.
On the concluding day, a colourful valedictory ceremony of the programme which commenced at Bn. Headquarter here on March 12 was held today. Sham Lal Sharma, Dy. Inspector General of Police HG/CD and SDRF Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion. Ghulam Sarwar Chauhan, Commandant SDRF 2nd Bn. Jammu (Course Director) & Mohmad Rafiq Manhas, Dy.SP (Course Coordinator ) facilitated the brief resume and other details of the course, after welcoming the chief guest and the other participants. A number of civilian guest lecturers, Yoga teachers etc namely, Dr. Rajinder Thappa, Dr. Ranbushan Singh, Raj Kumar Raina, R Vijay Magotra ,Sh Alok Nanda, Shashi Kant and Tajinder Singh Premme, who had delivered valuable lectures during the course also participated in the ceremony. Out of a total of hundred trainees, the 1st three Position holders were distributed the certificates of merit by the chief guest besides memento's were also presented to the guest lecturers. The purpose of the course was to prepare the jawans of the recently announced State Disaster Response Force to meet any eventually arising out of any natural or man made disasters in a better and technical way. |
