Baisakhi fest held at Stephens school | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 12 : The festival exuberance left everybody spellbound in the campus of Stephens International Public School, Miran Sahib, Jammu. The harvest festival of Baisakhi was celebrated with full fervour and gaiety. The colourful fest offered variety of mouth watering delicacies of Indian cuisine and children enjoyed at their best on the thundering beats of dhol. The students of 4th std. dressed up in colourful attire as gabrus and mutyaars (Punjabi boys and girls) spread the extravagant spree of festivity everywhere around. The stalls of every type were the special attraction of the Baisakhi Mela. There were variety of stalls for food, toys games, bangles and decoration items.A special homage was paid to the Martyrs who sacrificed their lives during Jallianwala Massacre (13th April 1919). The principal, Management and the Chairperson Satvinder Saini applauded the efforts put up by their teachers for inculcating and infusing amongst the children the relevance of this festival which is the harbinger of happiness, love and togetherness. |
