16 bovine animals rescued at Udhampur, 2 held | | | Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, Apr 13: Udhampur Police in its continued drive against bovine smuggling, today arrested 2 bovine smugglers and seized 16 bovine animals being transported to Kashmir valley in a truck. Giving details, Abdul Jabbar Addl. SP Udhampur said that based on a reliable input, a Police Party of Police Station Udhampur led by Gian Chand Sharma, SHO Police station Udhampur laid a surprise naka near Jakheni and intercepted one truck bearing Registration No. 8569/JK02AC. During the thorough search, 16 bovine animals were found loaded in the truck. All the bovine animals were rescued from the clutches of bovine smugglers.He added that two bovine smugglers identified as Mohd. Aslam son of Basher Ahmed resident of Ragora bi-pass Jammu and Sushil Kumar son of Sodagar resident of Bari Brahmna, Jammu were arrested on the spot and vehicle was seized.In this connection, a case FIR No 127/2012 U/S 188/RPC, 3 PCA stands registered at P/S Udhampur. |
