| Kargil to be equipped with solar street lights | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 13: Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Haji Ghulam Hassan Khan, who is the Member of Power, Finance and Disaster Management Committees of Government of India, recommended to provide funds for the installation of Solar Street Lights and 18 Mast Light for the beautification of Kargil Town.
The decision to install lights from Shilikchey to Titi Chumik through Power Finance Department was taken during a meeting. In the Meeting the Power Finance Corporation, Government of India has in principal agreed to provide Rs 3.50 crores for the said project and this will be completed by the end of December 2012.
In the meeting, the Executive Director, Managing Director Power Finance, Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Executive Engineer Electrical and Executive Officer KREDA Kargil were also present. |
