NMCC wins Jammu finals of Sprite Gully Cricket | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Apr 14: The NMCC emerged winners of Jammu finals of season-V of the Sprite Gully Cricket Championship held at Dushera round, Gandhi Nagar, here today. The winner of the Jammu leg of the event, NMCC awarded with a cash prize of Rs 30,000 while runners-up, Maya Star given away a cash incentive of Rs 20,000 by the organizers. Now, NMCC shall be representing at the zonal level competition wherein the prize is Rs five lakh for the title holder. The competition is being organised by Coca Cola India around 112 cities of the 13 states across four zones in the country. Earlier, the championship was declared open by Area Sales Manager of Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd., Jammu, Manish Sharma. Congratulating the winning team, Manish Sharma said, "Cricket is a passion amongst Indians, be it children, youth or the elderly. It is more than just a sport; it is a religion that binds India together." He further said that Sprite Gully Cricket Championship provides the young cricket talent a unique opportunity to play the game of cricket in its most authentic form - Street Cricket. The championship is open for all young players between the age group of 15 years and above. |
