| Accounts Employees to go on two days mass casual leave from Jan 31 | | | Jammu Jan 26 Jammu and Kashmir Accounts Employees Association has assailed the government especially the General Administration Department for not listing its demand regarding removal of pay disparity in the agenda for the Cabinet meeting that met here yesterday and threatened to go on two days mass casual from January 31. In a meeting held here today, the Association took stock of the situation on the long pending demands of the accounts cadre and reiterated its demand for unification of the post of Director Accounts and Treasuries, grant of promotion of various categories, settlement of SRO 43 cases, enhancement in key allowance in favour of Cashiers and adequate promotion avenues for Assistant Programmers and Data Entry Operators. The meeting regretted that despite approval by the Chief Minister, the bureaucrats were adopting delaying tactics compelling the cadre members to resort to agitation. According to a hand out the Association in its today's meeting held under the chairmanship of its President Jasbir Singh has decided to proceed on mass casual leave for two days on January 31 and February 1 to press the government to concede its long pending demands. It exhorted the cadre members to participate in large strength in the dharna proposed on these two days bringing the treasury working to a standstill throughout the state.
