Political and non-political organizations pay floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar on his 121st Birth Anniversary | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Apr 14: Various political and non political organization today organized ceremonies to pay homage to Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar who is also known as Founder of Indian Constitution on his 121st Birth Anniversary BJP Anusuchit Jaati Morcha observed 121st birth anniversary of Dr Bheem Rao Ambedkar in a unique way by performing traditional "Kanjak Poojan" ceremony in honour of girl children belonging to scheduled caste families. The function was organized under the leadership of SC Morcha State President Subhash Bhagat while BJP State President Shamsher Singh Manhas attended the occasion as chief guest. Speaking on the occasion Manhas said that only a nation and society move ahead which has well educated people who give direction to the society. He said that whatever Dr. Ambedkar did against untouchability and other social evils was the indicator of his clear vision that our country shall remain backward till all the religions, sections and castes are not treated equal. National Executive Member Dr Nirmal Singh referred to discrimination to Scheduled Castes ins state in various spheres and termed it as a violation of the provision of Indian Constitution founded by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. MLA Ashok Khajuria said the life of Dr. Ambedkar should prove to be a source of inspiration for the Indians that your desire and commitment to achieve success in life cannot be hindered by financial position or the caste of your family. Meanwhile All India Confederation of SC/ST/OBC Organizations to commemorate 121st birth anniversary of Bharat Ratna Baba Saheb Dr B.R. Ambedkar under the leadership of Rakesh Bhagat, District President of Jammu. In a homage message, Prof Saifuddin Soz MP Former Union Minister & President J&K Pradesh Congress stated it is most appropriate to remember late B R Ambedkar one of the tallest freedom fighter of India and emancipator of Dalit Society. "Ambedkar has all along been remembered as one of the founding fathers of Indian Constitution and the present generation must feel extremely grateful to the founding father of Constitution of India who laid down the fundamental principle that all people, irrespective of caste, colour and creed, are equal before law," Soz stated. Meanwhile a massive motor rally organized to mark the occasion was flagged off jointly by RK Kalsotra, the president of the State Unit of the Confederation and former minister Rampal from Ambedkar Bhawan, Resham Ghar which after passing through city culminated at Guru Ravi Dass Gurudwara Bahu Fort. Speaking on the occasion Kalsotra said that Babasaheb worked all through his life for the upliftment of women and the downtrodden. He said that equality, liberty and fraternity, the basic goals of Babasaheb's ideology, could only be fulfilled if all the countrymen, irrespective of caste, creed and religion, walk on the path chalked out by Babasaheb. Romesh Sarmal, Rohit Verma, General Secretary of the State unit, Sham Lal Vassan, Kesar Singh, CL Banihal, KL Malati, and R K Kaith also addressed the gathering.In a similar occasion Worker of different originations of district Udhampur gathered at Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party District Head Quarter Office, Udhampur and celebrated Dr Bhim Rao Ambedker Jayanti. The activist of different origination reminded the teaching of Baba Sahib Ambedkar and his picture was garlanded. On addressing the huge gathering Mankotia said that the Baba Sahib Dr Bhim Rao Ambedkar is the one of the India's greatest son. He stated that the importance of Baba Sahib Ambedkar has in the shaping of modern India should not be forgotten. Dogra Kanti Dal Raghubir Gandotra, Panthers Leader Dhani Ram Atri, District President SC Cell Ram Pal also spoke on the occasion. To commemorate the Birthday of Bharat Ratna, Dr B R Ambedkar, a special meet was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Batwal Welfare Association today at Shahzadpur Kothi which was attended by all Association members. Paying homage to late leader, President of the Association Ex MLA Sat Pal Lakhotra said that Bharat Ratna, Dr Ambedkar was a great national leader of twentieth century and contributed greatly in the nation building. Association General Secretary R L Kaith, Capt Raj Kumar Kaith, Capt Om Parkash Tugga, Capt Kamal Chand Motan, Capt Ram Lal Sargotra, Sub Maj Gunni Ram Kaith, Naib Sarpanch Ram Lal Lakhotra, Panch Narayan Dass Bassa and others paid rich floral tributes to Dr Ambedkar In a similar occasion organized at Ambedkar Chowk in Gandhi Nagar, the Revenue Minister also attended 121st birth anniversary function of Bharat Ratna Baba Sahib Dr B R Ambedkar paid rich tributes to great leader of the country. Paying rich tributes to Dr. B R Ambedkar, Minister said that Baba Sahib was the architect of the Indian Constitution adding that as study of law, economics, and politics made him the best qualified person for making constitution of India. He showed them a path which not only led to their development but also the development of India. |
