58th Republic Day observed with great patriotic fervor

The 58th Republic Day was observed with great patriotic fervour throughout the Jammu region. Since early morning people, school and college students were seen rushing towards the venue of function. The main function was of the region was held at Maulana Azad Stadium, were Governor Retd. Lt.Gen, S.K Sinha unfurled the National Flag and took salute on the occasion.
In addition National and State level political parties, various organisations and corporations also celebrated the Republic Day function with great fervor and zeal at their respective places and the leaders highlights the importance of the day.
Bhartiya Janta Party organized numbers of functions at various places in the city of temples, were the leaders of the party hoisted national flag and workers sung National Anthem.
The State President Ashok Khajuria alongwith State General Secretary Shamsher Singh Manhas, Daya Krishan Kotwal, Kavinder Gupta, Sat Sharma, Mahila Morcha State President, Usha Choudhary, Rajinder sharm, councilors Rajesh Gupta, Arun Khanna, raj Rani, Sat Pal Grover and Balwan Singh hoisted the national flag at party headquarters. City Chowk, Bakshi Nagar chowk, Panjthirthi, Rehari Colony Chowk and Lakhdatta Bazar.
Dr. Nirmal Singh, alongwith JMC councilors Chander Mohan Gupta and Ashok Singh Manhas, Vinay Gupta and Ch. Vikram Randhawa, hoisted the national flag at General, Shiv Nagar and Bohri, Patoli and Janipur.
BJYM activists led by Gen. Secretary Rajiv Charak, hoisted National flag at Pacca Talab and Kachcha Talab in Bahu fort.
The National conference workers hoisted the Tri-colour at Sher-i-Kashmir Bhawan. Speaking on the occasion the provincial president of party Ajay Sadhotra said, the Day is of an historical importance, as on this day constitution of the country was adopted, were interests of all the communities was taken into consideration with fall secular character. Sadhotra also congratulated the army personal, security forces and police for their role in maintaining law and order and over all communal harmony among the people f the state, despite so many provocation from across the border. He also unflurid the Tri-colour at Bakshi Nagar, Indra Chowk and Bhagarati Nagar etc places.
Those who were present in the function Rattan lal Gupta, Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Mirza Abdul Rashid, Bimla Luthra, Begum Zubaida Salaria, Gurdeep Singh Sassan, Chander Mohan Sharma, Jugal Mahajan, Mohd. Ayub Malik, K.L. Tak, Shyam Mehra, S. Surinder Singh Bunty, Ravi Dogra, Sunil Dharmat, Waris Gill, Veena Oberari, Daljeet Sharma, Lalita Sharma, Satwant Kour, Saroj Gupta, Veena Choudhary, Manveer Kour, Joginder Kour, Smt. Sushma Sawhney, Rashpal Singh, Leela Jamwal, Rajesh Bakshi and

Congress Sera Dal, Chief B.S. Sambyal hoisted the national flag at Jammu office, Samba, Vijaypur, Pekheri places. Sambyal appealed to youngsters to come forward to rootout social evils, and be vigilant against the anti-national elements especially those who are shouting anti India speeches. Chanchal Gandotra, Krishna Rania, J.K. Koul, S.S.chib, Harbans Lal, Bhagat, Anuradha and Rani Sharma were present.
Mayor, Jammu Municipal corporation, Ch. Man Mohan Singh hoisted the national flag at Town hall in preserves of councilors and staff. On the occasion Singh appreciated the working of JMC staff in improving the sanitation condition of Jammu city.
J&K Dharmarth Trust, staff celebrated the function with great enthusiasm. The President of the trust, Th. Divakar singh hoisted the National flag. He called upon the employees, and students present on the occasion to work hard for the development of the nation and state in particular. In the evening illumination of central office building was done. The President Divakar unflrued flags at Sanskrit Pathshalla and at Ranbir Sanskrit Vidyalaya Birpur.
National Mazdoor Conference in collaboration with the traders of Pacca Danga at Moti Bazar celebrated the day in the great enthusiasm. President Subash Shastri hoisted the national flag, while prominent social activist of the area, Surjeet chopra President on the function, and appealed to the people of the state to maintain communal harmony and fight the menace of terrorism. A two minutes silence was observed as a mark of respect to freedom fighters and beloved soldiers who sacrifices their life for the country.
PHE employees union hosted the National Flag at Tawi Pumping Station, by AEE Loknath Abrol. The union President, Moulvi Maneer Ahmed speaking on the occasion urged upon the employees be cautious about the activities of anti-social elements and give be-fitting reply to Pakistan’s proxy-war present on the occasion were Rajesh Sharma, Satpal Singh, K.K Verma, Sanjay Bali, Liyagat Ali, Khurshid Ahmed, Abhishekh and Mausam Din etc.
Water Workers Association of Pumping Station Sub. Division of company bagh celebrated the day with enthusiasm. Chief Engineer, Vinod Goswami unfurled the National Flag. President of association Shiv Kumar Sharma congratulated the gathering on the occasion.
Krishna Nagar and Roshan Garh, resident celebrated the day with great enthusiasm. PCC. Secretary Santosh Magotra unfurled the National Flag. Sweets were distributed among the occasion.
Ladies club, Hari Singh Zanana Park, members hosted the National Flag. A large number of women members were presented on the occasion.
Lakshmi Narayan Mandir Shop keepers along with the Mohalla Sudhar Samiti, Gandhi Nagar celebrated the day with great fun and fair.
Tilak Raj Gupta Corporator was the Chief Guest on the occasion that unfurled the Tricolor. Among others the dignitaries who were present on the occasion were Manohar Lal Vaid, Kanahaiya Singh, Sudershan Sharma, U.K Jalali, Satveer Gupta, Ashwani Prabhakar, Ajay Mattoo, R.P Singh, Manjeet Singh and Rakesh Gupta.
Students from Shastri Shiksha Niketan School Gandhi Nagar and Alphabet kids presented cultural, musical programme. About three hundred people of the locality including ladies and gents were present on the occasion.
Aadarsh Bhartiya Samaj celebrated 58th Republic Day enthusiasm and gaiety. Sub (Retd.) Charan Dass Sharma hoisted the National Flag on behalf of Samaj.
Satyug Nirman Sanstha organized a impressive function on the eve of Republic Day celebration at Resham Ghar Colony Park in front of Ambedkar Community Bhawan. National Flag was hoisted by Suman Sharma Prominent social worker of Resham Ghar colony.
At Higher Secondary School Bhaderwah, SDM took salute of Combine March Past, which was led by the Sub. Inspector Mansoor Ahmed of Battalion.
Students of various schools of the area took part in the well-attended function. Authorities distributed sweets among the children who participated in the march past.
The Vice-Chancelor of SMVDU, Prof N.K Bansal hoisted National Flag in the campus. Speaking on the occasion Bansal said, that India is fast approaching as Global economic player, addressing that Indians are making a remarkable impact in world over, due to their hard work.
Centre Body Shopkeeper Association, Bohri Patta, organized a colorful function on the eve of Republic Day celebration at Bohri Chowk. National Flag was hoisted by Kuldeep Singh Raja, on the occasion Ashok Singh Manhas, Corporator highlighted the importance of Republic Day, prominent who attend were Sham Mehra, Romi Raina, Ramesh Sharma, Chaman Lal Verma, Sanjeev Handa, Avtar Singh, Suresh Gupta, Pradeep Singh Chib, Manjeet Kumar, Naresh Kumar and others.
