| Youth abducted, beaten by "influential" man at Kandi | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Apr 14: Tension gripped Seri Chowana in Mandi near here after a youth was allegedly abducted and beaten by an influential person of the area last night.
After allegedly abducting him, the influential man took the youth his home at Seri Chowana and gave him a severe beating.
The victim was, however, saved by his family members who reached the spot soon after the matter came to their noitice. As the Mandi police was alleged to be dragging feet in the matter, the people today brought the victim to the official residence of SSP Ashkoor Wani and narrated him the whole incident.
However, any legal action was yet to be taken in the matter. The injured was admitted to the district hospital here but was later referred to the GMCH, Jammu for specialized treatment. |
