PDP slams Govt. for poor governance | | | Early Times Report Rajouri, Apr 14: Shahzad Khan Senior PDP leader slammed the state government over its failure on all fronts in providing good governance to the people. In a workers' meeting held in Rajouri under the leadership of Khan among other issues the workers were appraised of the public rally to be held on 16 April to be addressed by PDP President Mehbooba Mufti. wherein among other things; they discussed the increasing level of unemployment and corruption. As per press release Shahzad said that the present coalition government has failed to keep up its promise of providing job to at least one middle passed unemployed in each household. He said that the government started the Sher-e-Kashmir Employment and Welfare Programme for the Youth (SKEWPY), another addition to the name of Sher-e-Kashmir, but it failed miserably. Shahzad criticising the New Recruitment Policy said that is not only anti youth and against the spirit of the Constitution but is also demeaning education and the educated youth. It is straight away denying "equal wages for equal work" as envisaged in Article 14 and 15 (1) of the Constitution. He said that as per the policy the fixed monthly salary will be 50% of the basic for the first two years and 25% for the next three years and will be without any allowance except Medical allowance. Expressing his concern over the increasing level of corruption, Shahzad said that the central rural developmental programmes under Bharat Nirman have been given a brutal death by the present coalition government but for its mismanagement and corrupt practices.
